The fourth Smart Cities in Smart Regions (SCSR) conference will be held on October 9-10, 2024, at the LAB University of Applied Sciences campus in Lahti, Finland. The conference is organized by LAB University of Applied Sciences and the City of Lahti, in collaboration with the Regional Council of Päijät-Häme, LUT University, Lahti University Campus, Avans University of Applied Sciences, and Forum Virium Helsinki.
The SCSR 2024 themes are:
- Solutions for Systemic Change
- Smart Health and Wellbeing Innovations
- Design for Sustainable Business and Responsible Consumption
Special Session: Päijät-Häme Circular Economy Forerunner

RCPH is one of the fellows of the EU’s Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI), committed to promoting the circular economy across Europe. This commitment is also reflected in the Päijät-Häme Green Transition Programme, launched in April 2024, which aims for carbon neutrality by 2030. It focuses on energy, transport, material cycles, forests, land use, and a sustainable food system.
During the session, discover the potential of CCRI and explore innovative solutions from Europe and Päijät-Häme. Participate in a follow-up workshop featuring four thematic groups – themes to be announced soon.
This is a prime opportunity to collaborate, exchange ideas, and build new partnerships!
